All programs in the Bachelor of Science degree (early childhood, elementary, K -12 secondary) typically follow the certificate programs outlined in the Teacher Education Handbook. However, variations are allowed with approval of the Chair of the School of Education. In all cases substantial course work must be completed in both specialization and professional education.

All Teacher Education programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and approved by the State Board of Education for the State of Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation (OCTP).
