1. How do I register for NSI?
You will register on Friday, August 17th from 8am-2pm at the University Fair located directly in front of the Webster Commons.

2. How much does NSI cost?
NSI is free to all new students and their immediate family members. This includes all meals and activities during the 5 days of NSI. All meals are included other than Friday lunch for new students and families and Saturday dinner for families.

3. When should parents/family members leave?
You can use your own discretion as to the best time to say farewell to your student; however, we ask that you leave no later than 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 19th.

4. What if my student wants to move in early?
New students can begin the move-in process at 7 a.m. on Friday, August 17th. If your student is an athlete of a fall sport, he/she will receive move-in instructions from the athletic department.

5. Where am I supposed to stay during NSI?
As a new student, you can move in and stay at your on-campus residence beginning 7 a.m. on Friday, August 17th. Parents are welcome and encouraged to stay at a local hotel. To view a list of local lodging options, check out the lodging page on the NSI website.

6. Is NSI mandatory?
All events are mandatory for ALL NEW SNU STUDENTS. NSI is an integral part of your success at Southern Nazarene University. It is designed specifically for you as a new student as well as for new SNU family members. Even if you have had relatives or friends attend SNU in the past, you will want to come and learn about all the new additions that we make every year.

7. Where am I supposed to go when I arrive on campus?
If you are living on campus, you will first want to locate the Residence Hall you have been assigned to live in and check in there. If you are a commuter student, you will need to register for NSI at the University Fair between 8am and 2pm on Friday, August 17th. Registration is located at the plaza in front of the Webster Commons.

8. What is a family group?
A family group is a small group of freshmen or transfer students led by an upperclassman through the NSI experience. Your assigned family group will be given to you at NSI Check-In beginning Friday, August 17th.
