How to Apply for Financial Aid

How to Apply for Financial Aid

Step 1

Complete the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) .  You will need to use SNU's school code 003149.  Seven Easy Steps to the FAFSA is a student's guide to the Free Application for Student Aid which can be accessed at www.finaid.ucsb.edu/FAFSASimplification.  Once you have completed the FAFSA, your information will be forwarded to the Financial Aid Office (FAO) at SNU.

Step 2

Complete the MBA Resource Worksheet and submit to the FAO.

Step 3

Once SNU receives your FAFSA information, we may need additional paperwork, such as an Independent Verification Worksheet and your signed federal tax return.  We will contact you if we need this additional paperwork.

Step 4

After all paperwork is complete, the FAO will determine your financial aid eligibility.  We will send you an Award Letter.

Step 5

If you accept student loans on your Award Letter, please complete a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note and Loan Entrance Counseling.

Step 6

If you accept student loans and will receive a refund, complete the Refund Request and submit to FAO.
