The new Teacher Education Assistance
for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program provides up to
$4,000 per year in grants for undergraduate students who intend to
teach full time in a high-need subject area for at least four years,
within eight years of graduating, at a school that serves students from
low-income families. Students may receive up to $16,000 for
undergraduate study. Part time students are eligible, but the maximum
grant will be reduced.
Students seeking a Master’s Degree may receive a maximum of $8,000 with a lifetime maximum of $24,000.

IF YOU FAIL TO COMPLETE THE FOUR YEAR TEACHING OBLIGATION YOUR TEACH
GRANT WILL BE CONVERTED INTO A LOAN WHICH YOU WILL HAVE TO REPAY. ONCE
A GRANT IS CONVERTED TO A LOAN IT CAN’T BE CONVERTED BACK TO A GRANT!
