    "There's a great value in having a family heritage here. It's neat to have professors that already knew me and my family. And to have professors who were kind of looking out for me. My dad had Dr. Gresham for political science when he was here...The fact that I had a family legacy here kept me on my toes. I wanted to be the best I could. I wanted to be involved.     "I came to SNU to get my education, to get my validation to move forward, which allowed me to become an officer in the military, which allowed me to use my educational benefits, which brought me back to service to man, and a strengthening of my faith. SNU was the catalyst for the direction of my adult life."

    "Those days were a little different. Girls didn't get an opportunity...I think perhaps I probably liked sports more than anyone back in those days. I always had a passion for sports...I just wanted to shoot. I loved shooting baskets. Used to shoot a lot. Even though I didn't really get to play on a team."
