Currently: Enrolled in a Zoology master’s program at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK.
Responsibilities: She is studying the bat population around Tar Creek Superfund Site, which is contaminated with metals from mining in the early 1900’s to about 1970.
Accomplishments: After hearing a research presentation delivered by Eguren, a professor at Oklahoma State offered her a position as a graduate student in her lab with a teaching assistant position. A position that waved her tuition and provided a monthly stipend.
In Her Words: What would you say about the SNU Biology Department? “They do as much as larger schools. I really appreciate their high level of commitment to the students as individuals.”
