Bobby Gruenewald will serve as the Commencement Speaker for the Southern Nazarene University Commencement ceremonies.
Southern Nazarene University will honor the graduating class of 2012 during Spring Commencement exercises at 10:00 a.m. for undergraduates and 2:00 p.m. for Professional and Graduate Studies on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in the Sawyer Center, located on the campus of Southern Nazarene University on Northwest 39th Expressway and Donald.
Bobby Gruenewald serves as Pastor, Innovation Leader at LifeChurch.tv and is the co-founder of YouVersion, the Bible App that’s helping tens of millions of people make God’s Word a part of their daily lives. One of the leading voices in the Church as it relates to innovation and the use of technology, Bobby frequently writes and speaks on the topic, and has been featured in the Washington Post, on CNN, CBS, NPR, TechCrunch, and more. He was also listed by Fast Company as one of the 100 most Creative People in Business in 2011. Bobby and his wife, Melissa, both graduated from SNU in 1997 and now live in Edmond, Oklahoma with their three children.
Following the morning undergraduate commencement exercises, the historic Ivy Ring Ceremony for graduates will take place at the Centennial Plaza in front of the Webster Commons. Families are encouraged to follow the graduates in their recessional out to the Centennial Plaza and stand behind their graduates as part of the Ivy Ring Ceremony.
Commencement is open to the public, and there is no admission charge. Guests are asked to enter through the west doors of the Sawyer Center.
