Homecoming weekend on the campus of Southern Nazarene University begins Friday, November 7 and continues until the closing President’s Prayer Breakfast at 7:15 am on Sunday, November 9. The weekend is filled with class reunions, dedications, coronation of a King and Queen, a Saturday evening Showcase concert and Crimson Storm sports.
Each year focuses attention on one specific Academic area and this year’s feature is on the School of Theology & Ministry, with the theme “Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus.” Special components of this feature include a ‘Back to School: Learning, Growing, Serving’ workshop, Friday from 2-2:50 pm; an open-house reception from 8:30 –10:00 am on Saturday, with dedication of the Hall of Witnesses in the Ludwig Religion Building at 9:00 am on Saturday, and a 5:00 pm dinner Saturday evening just prior to the Showcase Concert in which the School will be featured.
Following is the schedule of the events for this annual celebration of the return of alumni to their alma mater.
Friday, November 7

Coronation of Homecoming King & Queen
10 am, Herrick Auditorium
Directed by the Student Government Association, family and friends gather to honor seniors on the Homecoming Court and to crown the King & Queen.
12:30 pm, Webster Commons, Heritage Room
This informal luncheon is open to all alumni and friends. Hear about SNU’s connection to missions and visit with retired / furloughed missionaries and missionary kids attending SNU. 2 - 2:50 pm, "Back to School", Ludwig Religion Building. Join the School of Theology and Ministry in a discussion focused on a current-day ministry issue. Check www.snu.edu/alumni for specific topic.
4:00 pm, Dedication of the Zig Ziglar Center for Ethical Leadership, Royce Brown Business Building. Join SNU for the dedication of The Center. Hear about SNU's commitment to training students to become ethical leaders. Learn more about programs offered through The Center.
Legacy Class Reunion Reception, 4 - 5:30 pm, Royce Brown, Room 203. If you attended BPC or BNC in 1957 or earlier, this is the place to begin the reunion weekend. Enjoy reconnecting with fellow classmates and friends at a come-and-go reception. Light refreshments will be served.

Reunion Gatherings, beginning at the Sawyer Center 1958, 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998 and 2003. Connect with classmates and friends during the basketball game at your class table on the 2nd floor of the arena. (Class of 1958 will meet on the 3rd floor.) Look for your class year in the stands to see where everyone is sitting.
Bonfire, (after the games) SNU Football Complex (South parking lot). Pull on your coat hat and gloves, and join the SNU student body at the annual Homecoming Bonfire. It promises to set the tone for an exciting Homecoming weekend.

Join SNU as we dedicate The Hall of Witnesses: a place where families, friends and churches honor those who have given their lives in full-time Christian service. Gifts help provide support for the endowment funding of ministerial intern scholarships.
Celebrating the SNU School of Theology and Ministry Reception
8:30 – 10 am, Ludwig Religion Building
Visit with former and current faculty. Reminisce with fellow classmates about the memories made and show your family where you attended class and studied for exams. Light refreshments will be served.
