This Thursday, November 3, 2011, The Peer Learning Network at Southern Nazarene University will be hosting climber, speaker and author, Eric Alexander on the campus of Southern Nazarene University. Alexander, a professional mountaineer devotes his spare time directing Adventures Beyond Limits, an organization that utilizes the outdoors to encourage and educate youth with disabilities.
Dr. Terry Toler, VP of University Advancement and Church Relations says, "Southern Nazarene University is excited to host Eric Alexander on campus to share his journeys to the worlds highest peaks."
Alexander’s recent adventures included scaling Mt. Everest with a team that included the first man born blind to scale Mount Everest. Using adventurous life experiences such as those, Alexander will be challenging and encouraging the corporate partners of the Peer Learning Network to set and attain goals.
“We are looking forward to hearing how he and his team braved Everest and how we can set and reach personal and corporate summits,” Dr. Toler comments.
Alexander will be speaking for the Peer Learning Network from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Royce Brown Business Building, and in Chapel for the student body at 10:50. For more information, contact the office of University Advancement (405) 491-6311.
