Phi Alpha Theta National History Honors Society

SNU is home to the Alpha Xi Delta chapter of National History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta. Phi Alpha Theta is a professional society whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. Membership in this society gives SNU students the opportunity to connect with a national community scholars at regularly hosted conferences and support toward reviewing and publishing their work.


10 SNU students are inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honors Society in 2010

10 students were inducted into the society at the SNU chapter's first installation ceremony, April 19, 2010.

MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS:
3.1 Minimum GPA in 12 or more credit hours of History and 3.0 minimum overall GPA.  Politics and Law courses do not apply, only History courses.  Membership is not limited to History majors.
