Upon college graduation, what is required from me to keep this as grant and not turn into a loan?
You must be a
highly-qualified full time teacher.
You must teach in a
high need
subject area for a minimum of four years within an eight year period following your completion of your educational program.
You must teach at
schools serving low-income students.
You must respond promptly to any request for information or documentation from the U.S. Department of Education, even if they seem repetitive.
You must provide documentation to the U.S. Department of Education at the end of each year teaching.
YOU MUST CONFIRM WITHIN 120 DAYS AFER YOU ARE NO LONGER ENROLLED IN YOUR TEACHER PREPARATION PROGRAM THAT YOU ARE FULFILLING (OR PLAN TO FULFILL) THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF YOUR SERVICE AGREEMENT.
