“After 16 years of service to the SNU Alumni Board, Rusty Williams (Class of ’82,) completed his tenure as Alumni Board President on June 30, 2014,” said Kendra Thomson, Executive Director of Alumni Relations at SNU. “Rusty was honored for his exemplary service at Homecoming 2013, and we are deeply grateful for his investment in SNU.”
Williams stated, “The Alumni of SNU continually amaze me with their distinguished accomplishments and their servant-style nature. I will always cherish my years at SNU, and my tenure with the Alumni Association. Larry Snowbarger is an outstanding selection, and I know he will provide great leadership into the future.”
Snowbarger, who took office July 1, 2014, most recently served as Vice President and formerly served as Northeast Oklahoma Representative on the Alumni Board. Larry and his wife Linda (Class of ’81) live in Tulsa, Oklahoma and he is a Business Development Director with Johnson Controls.
“What an humbling privilege to have earned the confidence of so many capable leaders on the Alumni Board,” said Snowbarger. “I have the challenge of serving on the heels of a remarkable leader in Rusty Williams. Serving as the next Alumni Board President gives me the chance to give back to the institution that helped me grow in so many areas while I was on campus.”
