14th annual Excel Auction set for Nov. 5
You are invited to join the friends of Southern Nazarene University for the fourteenth-annual Excel Auction, Friday, November 5, 2004. The annual event will take place at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, Sam Noble Center. The silent auction begins at 6:00 p.m., with the live auction and dinner scheduled for 7:00-9:00 p.m.
This year’s silent auction will include more than 400 items, ranging from collectibles, sports memorabilia, household fineries, holiday merchandise and a host of goods and services. In addition, 35 of the finest live auction items, including fabulous vacation trips, luxury and novelty pieces, art, antiques and automobiles, will be available.
For the past 13 years, the Excel Auction has supported EXCEL (Excellence in Christian Education and Leadership) Camps for children, in cooperation with Southern Nazarene University. These camps provide enriching educational, recreational and spiritual experiences for children from all social stations.
Southern Nazarene University has been a vital part of Oklahoma for more than 100 years, providing quality, value-based, higher education in a Christian environment. Founded in 1899, the university embraces academic excellence while emphasizing spiritual growth and service to community and church. More than 2,200 students from 30 countries and 40 states pursue degrees in 85 fields of study. Each summer, the university shifts its focus from young adults to children, providing an atmosphere where camp can be experienced in a Christian environment full of learning, inspiration, recreation and role-modeling.
