BETHANY, OK – The Color Breed Council (CBC) awarded Dr. Loren Gresham the 2006 Distinguished Service award on Friday evening, February 3, 2006 at their CBC Association reception.
The 2005 CBC’s 15th year was the first year that the association had given a Distinguished Service award. Last year’s award went to Bill Bowen, Horsemanship Program Director at Southern Nazarene University.
“The 2006 Distinguished Service award was given to Dr. Loren Gresham for all the many ways that he has been supportive to the CBC Association and for his involvement with the Horse Associations” said Bowen.
This is the 16th year that the Color Breed Council has offered a seminar. The CBC is made up of twelve associations that work together to host the International Equine Judges Seminar. They are as follows:
•National Snaffle Bit Association
•Pony of the Americas Club, Inc.
•American Paint Horse Association
•Palomino Horse Breeders of America
•American Miniature Horse Association
•Appaloosa Horse Club
•International Buckskin Horse Association
•North American Saddle Mule Association
•National Reined Cow Horse Association
•National Reining Horse Association
•Pinto Horse Association of America
•United States Equestrian Federation, Inc.
When the Color Breed Council first discussed the idea of a combined seminar in 1991, there were only six associations.
