Gene Chambers ('50) of Columbia, MO (formerly Bethany, OK) passed away May 28, 2011. Surviving family members with SNU ties are Son: Paul Chambers ('87) and Daughter: Theresa (Chambers, '76) West. He was a past member of ASP and has requested that memorials be sent to SNU. (7/11)
Rev. Robert K. Troutman ('47) of Bethany, OK passed away April 24, 2011. He is survived by two sons, Philip Troutman ('80) and Steven Troutman ('77), and two grandsons Christopher Troutman ('10) and Nathaniel Troutman ('08). His wife Wilma Troutman ('46) passed away in 2002. He was a past member of the ASP and was awarded the Outstanding Alumni Award. He is a member of the A.M. Hills Legacy Society. (7/11)

 Rev. Elton Roy Darden ('43) of Fort Worth, TX passed away March 8, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Theda A. (Dryden, '42) Darden; children, Connie (Darden, '72) Johnson and Linda (Darden, '68) Hines; and grandson John Patrick Hines ('94). Rev Darden has a will in the will room. (7/11) 
Irene (Holloway, '38) Spruce of Bourbonnais, IL passed away February 17, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Fletcher C. Spruce in 1974. Both her children are alums of SNU. They are Dr. Sara E. "Sallye Beth" Spruce ('66) of Bourbannais, IL and Dr. James Spruce ('64) of Chatham, IL. Jim's spouse, Karen (Aller, '63) Spruce is also an alum. (7/11)
 
James Lawrence Snell ('37), of Bethany, OK, passed away March 20, 2011. He was a longtime professor at Southern Nazarene University. Until his death he was both the oldest living graduate and teacher of the SNU School of Business, which honored him in 2008. He was also a long time member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, where her served as an usher for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys (Mitchell, '55) Snell, in 2006.
