Author Leonard Sweet to speak at Southern Nazarene University

Southern Nazarene University’s Office of Church Relations will host well-known Christian Author Leonard Sweet on Monday, October 23, 2006 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Royce Brown Business Building located on the campus of Southern Nazarene University at 6729 Northwest 39th Expressway in Bethany, Oklahoma.

Leonard Sweet is the author of more than 100 hundred articles, 600 published sermons and 30 books. In 2006 Sweet was voted “One of the 50 Most Influential Christians in America.” He is currently the E. Stanley Jones Professor of Evangelism at Drew Theological School in Madison, New Jersey. His web-based preaching resource Wikiletics.com is the first open-source preaching resource on the web.

Sweet earned his Master of Divinity degree from Colgate Rochester Divinity School and his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester. He has held distinguished lectureships at various colleges, universities and seminaries around the world and is a frequent speaker at national conferences, state conventions, pastors’ schools, and retreats.

Leonard is the Founder and President of SpiritVenture Ministries. His current projects include a preaching text entitled Giving Blood: The Art Craft of Abductive Preaching, as well as other writing projects. Sweet’s upcoming books include The Venti Gospel: Double-Shot Living with a Starbucks Passion, Pay Attention: Every Bush is Burning, Weathering The Perfect Storm (with Stephan Joubert), The MRI Church, and Life’s 9 Witnesses.
