Chamber Orchestra in Fall Concert

The SNU School of Music presents the Chamber Orchestra in fall concert Tuesday, November 18, 7:30 pm, in Cantrell Music Hall, located just north of 39th and College on the campus of Southern Nazarene University. Admission is free.

The Chamber Orchestra, comprised of 16 SNU students under the direction of Dr. Melissa Lewis, will perform works by Tchaikovsky, Ravel, Vaughan-Williams, Reger, Corelli and Hovhaness. Featured students will include Heather Wickersham, Sarah Sturgis, Heather Stallings, and Jon Crider.

“Our program will feature pieces from the Baroque era to the Romantic and Impressionist eras, as well as a 20th-Century piece, ranging from the familiar to the obscure,” said Lewis. “All selections will showcase our students and highlight some of the most important contributions to string orchestra literature.”
