Chris Hardin - NAIA "All American"
(BETHANY, OKLA.) - Southern Nazarene first baseman Chris Hardin was named an NAIA First Team All-American on Friday, June 1, by the NAIA. Hardin, a junior from Bethany, Oklahoma, becomes SNU's second baseball First Team All-American, joining Ryan Andrews. Andrews was a First Team selection in 2005.
Hardin, a junior from Bethany, Oklahoma, batted .433 with a school record 25 home runs and 74 runs batted in.
Hardin helped lead SNU to a 35-21 record and a 12-8 mark in the Sooner Athletic Conference. SNU fell one run shy of the SAC Tournament title, falling to Oklahoma City, 14-13, in the SAC Championship game. SNU also earned a regional tournament bid and claimed the program’s first NAIA Region VI tournament victory with a 3-2 win over Oklahoma City.
