Clay Schubert Sets New School Record in 800 Meters at UT Arlington Invitational

(ARLINGTON,TX)---Southern Nazarene University’s Clay Schubert set a new school record on Saturday at the University of Texas-Arlington Invitational in Arlington, Texas. Schubert finished with a time of 1:53.73 in the 800 meters, good enough for second place and a new SNU school record.

With his record setting time, Schubert qualified for the NAIA National Championships in the 800 meters. Sam Dech also earned a Nationals bid on Saturday with a qualifying run in the 1500 meters of 3:55.61. Dech won the 1500 meters event.
