BETHANY, OK – Southern Nazarene University (SNU) School of Music will gather its choirs and bands for the West Texas District “Covenant Celebration” on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at 6:00 p.m.
Location of the concert is at the Metroplex Chapel, 601 East Airport Freeway, Euless, Texas.
“The Covenant Celebration is designed to remind both the university and the church, that over a century ago, church members established a school to prepare their children to live and serve in the world. Through song and litany, we celebrate our heritage and our future,” said Dr. David Alexander, Vice President for University Advancement.
Covenant Celebration is a time of reaffirmation of the bonds between church and university. Once each semester, the SNU School of Music travels to different districts on the South Central region to present a Covenant Celebration. This semester, the concert will feature the leaders and youth of the West Texas District Church of the Nazarene. 140 students from SNU will be participating.
The Church of the Nazarene in the South Central region sponsors Southern Nazarene University. It draws students from Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.
