Dan Ariely to speak at Peer Learning Network on the campus of Southern Nazarene University
BETHANY, OK – Dan Ariely will be the speaker for this year’s first Peer Learning Network seminar at Southern Nazarene University, Thursday, October 6, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Royce Brown Business Building, located off NW 39th Expressway and Peniel on the campus of Southern Nazarene University.
Dan Ariely begins the 2005 – 2006 PLN series with his approach on leadership effectiveness. The topic for the workshop is - Customer Behaviors in the Electronic Age.
He brings a unique perspective to companies seeking to understand their customers and how and why people act certain ways in business.
“Ariely is an engaging speaker who will direct our attention both to the behavior of customers and employees, what motivates them and how to tap that motivation for better business” said Dr. David Alexander, Vice President for University Advancement at Southern Nazarene University.
Dan specializes in consumer behavior in the electronic age and he holds PhD’s in both marketing and cognitive psychology. He has also studied employee compensation and performance with insight into workforce motivation. He holds joint appointments at MIT
in the Sloan School of Management where he is Luis Alvarez Renta Professor of management Science and the MIT Media Lab where he is Director of the eRationality Research Group.
Thursday’s workshop is a part of the Peer Learning Network, a program facilitated by Southern Nazarene University. Peer Learning Network partners are comprised of chief executives and leadership teams of Oklahoma-based corporations and their management teams.
