Fall Work & Witness Conference at SNU
Southern Nazarene University will host the Fall Work & Witness Conference, Friday and Saturday, October 11-12, in the Webster Commons. The conference is sponsored by the Regional Work & Witness Retreat Committee in conjunction with the General Headquarters Work and Witness Office.
The conference is only one of three being held this year in the U.S.A. and Canada. While most of the participants will be members of the Church of the Nazarene, the conference is open to anyone interested in short-term mission trips.
“Short term mission trips like Work & Witness now involve nearly 1 million Americans every year. It’s important that we do them right. Work & Witness trips are life-changing events. We want them as effective as they can possibly be,” said Dr. Howard Culbertson, Professor of Missions.
David Cooper is this year’s keynote speaker. Special guests will include veteran missionaries David Cooper, Volunteerism Coordinator, and Marty Hoskins, Work & Witness Coordinator. SNU alum Curt Luthye, Work & Witness director in the Caribbean, will be recruiting teams for his region.
Displays from regional offices and mission fields around the world will be set up in the Webster Commons October 11-12 for viewing.
Conference cost is $45. To register online, go to www.snu.edu/wrkwtnss.
