The Department of Education has notified all schools that beginning with the 2006-2007 award cycle, they will no longer generate and mail paper Renewal FAFSAs to students. As a result, each student will be required to file their Renewal FAFSA on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

The Department of Education said they were making these changes after analyzing Renewal FAFSA processing trends, which demonstrate that a majority of students are now using the web to file their Renewal FAFSA.

All students who applied for 2005-06 financial aid should have received a renewal reminder e-mail during November, 2005. The reminder was sent to your e-mail address used on the 2005-06 FAFSA. If students do not have a valid e-mail address, but have a valid mailing address, a reminder letter will be sent instead of an e-mail. A second renewal reminder will be sent to all students who have not filed a 2006-07 Renewal FAFSA by the week of February 6, 2006.

It is urgent that all students complete their Renewal FAFSA prior to March 1st for the best consideration of aid. All Oklahoma Residents must apply prior to April 1st for OTAG consideration.
