Forsberg, Crutcher join School of Theology & Ministry

The SNU School of Theology & Ministry welcomes two new faculty members to staff for the 2003-2004 academic year: Doug Forsberg and Dr. Tim Crutcher.

Doug Forsberg joins the School of Theology & Ministry as Assistant Professor where he will teach courses such as Ministry, Church and Society (MCS), Foundations of Christian Education, and Introduction to Philosophy. Before coming to SNU, Forsberg served as Associate Pastor at Bethany First Church, preceded by twelve years of full time ministry. Forsberg is also a published author and has founded a number of charitable organizations within the past 13 years including The Door of Hope Community Ministries, Inc. (St. Petersburg, FL), Reaching Our City, Inc. (Oklahoma City, OK), and The Urban Hope Foundation (Bethany, OK). Forsberg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Bartlesville Wesleyan College, a Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Philosophy from Oklahoma State University. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Forsberg and wife DeVonna have one daughter, Cherokee.

Dr. Tim Crutcher joins the School of Theology & Ministry as Assistant Professor where he will teach courses such as Christian Thought, Church History I, and Ministry, Church and Society (MCS). Crutcher comes to SNU from Nairobi, Kenya where he and his wife Rhonda served three years as Special Assignment missionaries lecturing at Africa Nazarene University, preceded by three years of volunteer missions work in Belgium. Crutcher is also a published author and has written a number of short articles and curriculum pieces for various publications of Nazarene Publishing House. Crutcher holds Bachelors of Arts degrees in Religion and English and a Master of Arts in Religion from Southern Nazarene University; a Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary; Bachelors of Theology and Sacred Theology canonical degrees, a Master of Theology, a Licentiate in Sacred Theology, and Doctorates of Philosophy and Sacred Theology from Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. Crutcher and his wife Rhonda have three children, Andrew, Alexander, and Elizabeth.
