Global Candidate Orientation seminar set for March 4
Southern Nazarene University will host a Global Candidate Orientation seminar 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, March 4, in Room 127 of the Royce Brown Business Building, located off of NW 39th Expressway and Peniel on the campus of Southern Nazarene University.
The seminar is designed for people considering a call to missions and will provide participants with specific information on the process of becoming a missionary with the Church of the Nazarene. Guest speakers include veteran missionaries David Cooper and John Cunningham as well as others from the Nazarene World Mission Office.
Local Nazarene Missions International (NMI) presidents are especially welcomed, as they are the front-line people who deal with those feeling a call to missions. High school students are also encouraged to attend the Global Orientation event.
The seminar will be followed by a weekend of Cross Cultural Orientation (CCO) for people thinking about giving a year or two of their lives to voluntary missionary service. The Cross-Cultural session will begin the following Friday afternoon, March 12, and run through noon on Sunday, March 14, in the Royce Brown Business Building, Room 127, on the campus of Southern Nazarene University.
Registration forms for both sessions are available on the Nazarene missions web site: www.nivs.org. For further event information, contact Dr. Howard Culbertson, Professor of Missions, at 405.491.6693.
