  • SNU Celebrates National Day of Giving – December 1, 2015

    Bethany, OK – In October, 2012, the founding partner of Mashable, a technology website, announced the creation of Giving Tuesday or is now known as National Day of Giving.  The initial goal was to create a movement to create a national day of giving at the beginning of the Christmas and holiday season, in a response to commercialization and consumerism in the post-Thanksgiving season following Black Friday and Cyber Monday.   • SNU's Resource Center for Pastors Hosts Prominent Speakers

    The Resource Center for Pastoral Leadership at Southern Nazarene University (rcpl.snu.edu) recently hosted two equipping events for pastors. Scheduled to take place during Clergy Appreciation Month, the semiannual Pastor’s Forum was held on the campus in Bethany, Oklahoma and also live streamed to pastors in multiple states and from a variety of Wesleyan-holiness denominations. The RCPL at SNU also hosted its annual Youth Ministry Summit on campus, with dozens of youth pastors gathering for fellowship, training and sharing of best practices.

  • SNU Tulsa Celebrates its 25th Year

    The SNU-Tulsa campus opened in the fall of 1990 and was built to serve the adult population through its bachelor degree-completion programs and graduate programs.  The first location shared space in a local Church of the Nazarene.  The student population quickly outgrew that location and had since moved three additional times before landing at its current location near 105th and S.   • SNU Grad Named Oklahoma's Young Music Educator of the Year

    Southern Nazarene University graduate Jessica Wheeler was recently named Oklahoma’s Young Music Educator of the Year. Jessica earned the Bachelor of Music Education degree at SNU in 2010 and is currently teaching at Classen School of Advanced Studies in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where her choirs have received Superior Ratings with over 100 students participating in multiple honor choirs.     BETHANY, OK (August 22, 2012) - Tuesday morning over 300 freshmen, transfers and student leaders at Southern Nazarene University served over 10 non-profits in the Oklahoma City area.     Southern Nazarene University alumnus, Tommy Goddard ('10) has returned from California after playing drums in the 2011 Disneyland All-American College Band.
