Jantz Black, piano, in Senior Recital
The SNU School of Music presents Jantz Black, piano, in Senior Recital on Tuesday, February 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Cantrell Hall.
Black will perform a program featuring selections by composers Beethoven, Chopin, and J.S. Bach, including “Ballade No. 2, Op. 38,” “Waltz in A-flat, Op. 69, #1,” “Polonaise in F# minor, Op. 44,” and “Italian Concerto.” Black will conclude the recital with Kabalevsky’s “Sonata No. 3, Op. 46.”
Jantz Black is a senior Piano Performance major from Hydro, Oklahoma. Black plays the piano, organ, and double bass. He studies the piano under Dr. Mark Reighard.
During his time at SNU, Black has participated in a number of musical groups, including University Singers, SNU Choral Society, SNU Chamber Orchestra, and the SNU Metropolitan Orchestra. In addition, Black has had various involvements in the musical ministries at Calvary Church of the Nazarene, OKC First Nazarene and St. Matthew United Methodist Church.
