Kirkpatrick Concert featuring Tin Roof Tango
Tin Roof Tango will perform at Southern Nazarene University, Tuesday, October 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Herrick Auditorium located on the corner of 39th and Asbury. A world music lecture will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 8 in Herrick Auditorium.
Tin Roof Tango is the third of four guest artists in the SNU 2002-2003 Concert Art Series. Tin Roof Tango has excited audiences everywhere for thirteen years with their trademark high energy acoustic fusion sound while exploring new musical vistas. As an ensemble, group members Mark Shelton, percussionist; Beth Shelton, woodwinds specialist; Amy Faires, violinist; Wyeth Tuenge, bass player and Greg Lacy, guitarist are known for performances that feature a wide variety of instruments and styles in their high energy renditions of Celtic, Cajun, Bluegrass, Ragtime, Salsa, and Traditional American music.
“Tin Roof Tango is spectacular with enormous appeal. And best of all, they leave you wanting more,” said Laurie Connally of Bryan Texas Parks and Recreation.
This concert is made possible in part through the generous support of the Kirkpatrick Foundation.
The lecture is open to the public with no admission charge. Tickets for the concert are $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $3 for students and can be purchased at the door.
