The Aspen Ensemble is the second of four guest artists in our 2002-2003 Concert Art Series. From the famed Aspen Music Festival come highly acclaimed chamber musicians Rita Sloan, piano; Nadine Asin, flute; David Perry, violin; Victoria Chiang, viola; and Michael Mermagen, cello. Their collective performance histories include the chamber music series of the Chicago and Saint Louis Symphony Orchestras, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Da Camera Society of Houston, New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera, Pro Arte Quartet, Orpheus Chamber Ensemble, China National Symphony of Beijing, and guest artists with the Cleveland, Emerson, and Juilliard Quartets, among many other notable credits.
“We are fortunate to have the Aspen Ensemble on our concert schedule this year. Their varied repertoire and instrumentation will make for a terrific evening of beautiful music,” said Dr. Phil Moore, School of Music Chair.
This concert is made possible in part through the generous support of the Kirkpatrick Foundation.
The Master classes are open to the public with no admission charge. Tickets for the concert are $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $3 for students and can be purchased at the door.
