Nationally Known Innovator Tom Kelley to speak at SNU Peer Learning Network

Some of the most successful business people in Oklahoma City will come together September 27 for the first session of the 2001/02 Peer Learning Network on the campus of SNU.

The morning begins with a 7:45 a.m. continental breakfast with the session from 8-11:30 a.m. in the Royce Brown Business building on NW 39th Expressway and Peniel.

Featured presenter Tom Kelley will speak on "The Art of Innovation: Fostering a Culture of Creativity." Kelley is the General Manager for IDEO, which is the firm that has introduced products such as the Apple mouse, Polaroid's I-Zone camera, the Palm V, and many other innovative products.

Kelley's book, "The Art of Innovation: Lessons in Creativity from IDEO, America's Leading Design Firm", gives readers the inside view of strategies and secrets of a highly imaginative and energized company. His comapny stresses the importance of group creativity and believes that everyone has the ability to foster and share creative ideas.

The Peer Learning Network is comprised of chief executives of 10 local corporations and their management teams. The group meets four times a year to share experiences and innovative ideas with member companies.
