Orchestra, vocalists combine for fall performance

The SNU School of Music presents the Chamber Orchestra and members of the Vocal Department in fall concert and opera, Tuesday, November 16, 7:30 pm, in Cantrell Music Hall, located just north of NW 39th Expressway and College on the campus of Southern Nazarene University. Admission is free.

The Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Melissa Lewis, Director of String Activities, will begin the program with works by Britten, Bridge and Handel. Following an intermission, the orchestra will join with members of the SNU Vocal Department to present the one-act comic opera “A Game of Chance” by Seymour Barab. Under the direction of Cherrie Hampton, professor of voice, the opera features vocalists Betsy Baldwin, Jennifer Alarcon, Lindsey Rollins, and Blake Mohling.
