Southern Nazarene University’s annual “Pow Wow” show is scheduled for Saturday, November 20, in Herrick Auditorium, NW 39th Expressway and Asbury. The program will begin with a pre-show at 6:15 p.m., followed by the main program at 7:14 p.m.
Sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA), Pow Wow is SNU’s annual all-school talent / variety show event. It displays the talents of students of the University through singing, dancing, acting, video, instruments, and other talents.
The theme of this year’s show is “Blockbusters,” featuring the recreation of a movie premier experience. During the pre-show, show participants will be chauffeured to a red carpet and escorted along the line of awaiting fans to see the show. The program will include a wide variety of musical talent, hip hop tap dancing, sketch comedy, student produced videos, and a special encore appearance by a winning act from last year.
“All of the acts and emcees are traditional students currently enrolled at SNU. However, the show itself is open to anyone!” said Jonathan Meisner, Vice President for Student Services.
Pow Wow 2004 is produced by the SNU Student Services Council:
• Show Director – Jonathan Meisner
• Decorations Coordinator – Tillanie Dyer
• Emcees Director – Peter Bergman
