<p><strong>Position:</strong><br />
Full-time, assistant professor faculty position in the School of Nursing. Nine month contract. Available August 2013.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br />
Master of Science – Major in Nursing required with a Doctorate preferred; ABD will be considered. Commitment to undergraduate education in a distinctively Christian liberal arts University. Teaching experience preferred.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br />
Teach nursing courses and clinical in the undergraduate program. Courses taught will be determined based on department need and may include: Medical-Surgical, Health Assessment, Gerontology, Trends and Issues, and Pharmacology. Clinical components may include Medical-Surgical and Gerontology rotations. Other faculty responsibilities include academic advisement of students, curriculum development, student recruitment, participation in University committees and other campus service.</p>

<p><strong>The Department:</strong><br />
The School of Nursing offers three distinct nursing programs: a traditional Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing, RN-BS completion program, and a graduate nursing program with a Master of Science degree with nursing education and leadership majors. All three programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the traditional nursing program is approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Nursing faculty are committed to the integration of faith, learning and living by incorporating Christian principles into daily conduct and the practice of nursing. Community service and ministry are given major emphasis in the curriculum. </p>

<p><strong>Position:</strong> </p>
<p>Full-time faculty position as Clinical Coordinator, Athletic Training Education/ Faculty in the Department of Kinesiology. Available August, 2013.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong>: </p>
<p>The successful candidate should have<br />
· Master’s degree or greater required in Athletic Training Kinesiology or an Exercise Science related field.<br />
· Teaching and administrative experience in a CAATE accredited program<br />
· Three years experience as a BOC certified athletic training in a collegiate, high school or clinical setting is required<br />
· Demonstrated sincere interest in the professional preparation of athletic training students<br />
· Eligibility for Oklahoma state licensure<br />
· Involvement in athletic training and sports medicine through publications, public speaking, research, and membership in related professional organizations (highly desirable)<br />
· Additional expertise in exercise science or teacher education.<br />
· Experience with clinical affiliation agreements is desirable.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>: </p>
<p>The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for coordination of student clinical experiences, teaching of the athletic training core courses, supervising internships, advising students, recruiting, and participating in assigned university committees. Teaching responsibilities may include courses in exercise science or teacher education as assigned by the Chair.</p>

<p><strong>Position:</strong><br />
Southern Nazarene University is seeking to fill a full time faculty position in the Department of Biology beginning August 2013.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br />
The candidate must have a Ph.D. in an appropriate area of biology with teaching and research experience desired. The candidate should be committed to the pursuit of academic excellence with an enthusiasm for student interactions. Also required is a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a Christian liberal arts university (Wesleyan tradition preferred).</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br />
Primary teaching responsibilities include human anatomy, human physiology (previous experience teaching Cadaver Dissection desired), and an upper-division biology course in the candidate’s area of expertise (e.g. Comparative Anatomy, Animal Behavior, Human Embryology, or Human Histology, etc.). This position also includes student advising and faculty committee responsibilities.</p>

SNU offers B.S. degrees in biology, biology/chemistry (as a joint major with the Department of Chemistry) and environmental studies. The majority of students are preparing for a medical or physician assistant graduate school program. Thus, the department is committed to offering the quality of coursework necessary to prepare students for successful admission into graduate and professional programs. The department maintains and staffs the facility while coordinating visiting research scientists and student education groups as well as conducts a spring semester study abroad program through QERC.</p>
