SNU Celebrates Homecoming 2002
SNU alumni, current students, faculty and staff will gather together at Southern Nazarene University to celebrate Homecoming 2002, Thursday through Sunday, November 14-17.
“Homecoming is always an exciting time on the SNU campus, with reunions for 10 classes, a host of athletic events, the President’s Prayer Breakfast, Coronation Chapel, a community dinner, and the Homecoming Showcase. This is a time when the SNU family gathers again in Bethany to renew friendships and connections to the University,” said Marilyn Bergman, Director of Alumni Relations.
“We will also be honoring outstanding alumni who have made significant impact through their professions. Other alumni and friends will be recognized for their contributions to SNU as well,” Bergman said.
During the Homecoming Showcase on Saturday evening, a new component will be introduced as President Gresham presents his vision for Southern Nazarene University.
“We intend to unveil our plans for the future of SNU. Many of these plans will be facilitated by A Transforming Vision – The Campaign for Southern Nazarene University, the largest fundraising effort in the history of our university, seeking to raise over $30 million to erect buildings, endow scholarships, and support our faculty,” said Dr. David Alexander, Vice President for University Advancement.
The Homecoming Showcase will conclude with Christian contemporary artist Crystal Lewis in concert accompanied by the artists and ensembles of the SNU School of Music.
Tickets may be purchased for Homecoming weekend events at the SNU Office of Alumni Relations, located at 42nd & College. For more information, call 491.6312 or e-mail email@example.com.
