SNU Chamber Orchestra Presents Fall Concert
The Southern Nazarene University Chamber Orchestra will perform their fall concert Tuesday, November 19 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in Cantrell Music Hall, located just north of 39th and College on the SNU campus.
The concert will feature works by J.S. Bach, Alfred Reed, Joseph Suk, Gabriel Faure and John Rutter.
The Chamber Orchestra consists of string students and select wind players. A combination of music and non-music majors, they perform a variety of literature in a wide array of venues, including performances on campus, in churches across our educational region, and in the local community.
Dr. Melissa Lewis directs the string activities at Southern Nazarene University, including the SNU Chamber Orchestra and Metropolitan Orchestra, and teaches methods courses and Fine Arts in the School of Music. Dr. Lewis holds masters and doctorate degrees from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music.
