SNU Choral Society returns, open to community auditions
The Southern Nazarene University School of Music has returned to the Monday night rehearsals for the SNU Choral Society.
The choral society is a large choral group that performs major and minor choral works with orchestral accoompaniment. Membership is comprised of students currently performing in other SNU choral ensembles and other students or members of the university or community with prior choral experience.
"In returning to Monday night rehearsals, we're very hopeful and excited that more singers from the Oklahoma City metropolitan area will be able to participate in the group. I'm also hopeful that those on our faculty and staff can take advantage of the evening rehearsals and utilize their singing talents. We're looking forward to a good mix of university and community people," stated Dr. Brent Ballweg, Choral Society conductor.
The Choral Society concert for Fall is scheduled for Thursday, November 1, 7:30 p.m. in Cantrell Hall. For more information contact the School of Music office at 405.491.6345, or Dr. Brent Ballweg, director at 405.717.6245.
