The SNU Horse Show Team took third place this year in the Intercollegiate Horse Show
Association (IHSA) competition. “Fifteen other universities were involved in the competition which are among the Big 12 schools” said Bowen.
The SNU horse show team competes in English and Western riding in the IHSA. The team travels and competes with other colleges in Oklahoma and Texas, such as Oklahoma State University (OSU) and Texas A&M University (TAMU).
The IHSA promotes competition for riders of all skill levels, who compete individually and as teams at regional, zone and national levels. The association was founded on the principle that any college student should be able to participate in horse shows regardless of his or her financial status or riding level.
