SNU Men's & Women's Basketball Teams - Win SAC Tournament Title
Qualifying the teams to play at the 2007 NAIA National Tournament
BETHANY, OK--- Monday night, March 5, 2007,
Southern Nazarene University (SNU) Crimson Storm Women’s Basketball team claimed the 2007 Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament Championship with a 68-57 win over Oklahoma City at Oklahoma Christian University.
On Tuesday, March 6, 2007,
The Crimson Storm Men’s basketball team claimed the 2007 Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament Championship with an 82-68 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State University at Oklahoma Christian.
“The SAC tournament title is SNU’s second all-time. Southern Nazarene University swept the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament this season as both the men’s and women’s team claimed SAC Tournament titles within 24 hours of each other,” said Scott Secor, SNU Director of Sports Information.
The wins qualify our teams to play at The 2007 NAIA National Tournament.
SNU’s Men’s team will play Westminster, Utah on Thursday, March 15th at 2:15 pm in the first round of the men’s NAIA National Tournament.

In the women’s tournament, SNU will play Loyola University of Louisiana on Thursday, March 15th at 8:00 pm

Secor states, “SNU is searching for the program’s second NAIA National Championship. Southern Nazarene (then Bethany Nazarene) claimed the 1981 NAIA National Title. This season’s trip to Nationals is the programs first since the 1998-99 season.”
