SNU Nursing Commencement Ceremony
The Winter Nursing Ceremony at Southern Nazarene University will be held on Saturday, December 8 in Herrick Auditorium located on the campus of SNU at 6729 N.W. 39th in Bethany, Oklahoma from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
Traditional nursing students will receive their SNU Nursing caps. Professional Studies students who are graduating in December will be “pinned”. Each nursing program has a specially designed pin, which is worn on the nurse’s uniform and signifies the school from which they received their degree. Master’s (MS) students who are graduating in December will be formally presented their MS hoods.
“All nursing faculty and some members of Administration will be present. One outstanding student from each of the two Professional Studies groups will be presented a plaque,” said Carri Rohlmeier, Administrative Assistant, Professional and Graduate Studies, School of Nursing.
The nursing programs at Southern Nazarene University are approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
Four Nursing programs are available at SNU - Traditional 4-year baccalaureate program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree with a nursing major; Accelerated RN to BS program for associate degree or diploma educated nurses which leads to a Bachelor of Science degree with a nursing major; Accelerated Master of Science degree with a nursing major for nurses who wish to become effective nurse educators; and Accelerated Master of Science degree in Nursing Leadership.
