SNU Receives Million Dollar Find Us Faithful Foundation Gift
Southern Nazarene University (SNU) recently received a $1,000,000 gift from the Find Us Faithful Foundation. Proceeds of this gift address a number of university initiatives and establish a need-based scholarship.
“We are blessed, and the ripple effect of this gift will go far and will positively affect many around the world,” said Dr. Loren Gresham, President of Southern Nazarene University.
The Find Us Faithful Foundation gift of $500,000 establishes a Seekers Scholarship Endowment, a need-based scholarship for Business and other majors. The remaining $500,000 is divided among several university programs. A Capital gift for the Parker Center for Chapel and the Arts, Operational and Programmatic support for the Morningstar Institute Endowment, SNU Program providing micro loans in developing countries and student travel to those countries to assist in the management of those funds. Additional funds will help establish and open the Zig Ziglar Center for Ethical Leadership at Southern Nazarene University.
“The generosity of the Find Us Faithful Foundation will have a significant impact both now and in the future as our students enjoy the proceeds from the generous Seekers Scholarship, as well as affording us the opportunity to give students hands on experience in transforming cultures in developing third world economies with micro loans made available through the Morningstar Institute,” said Dr. David Alexander, Vice President for University Advancement at Southern Nazarene University.
