The School of Business at Southern Nazarene University honored 19 new initiates of the Gamma Sigma Chapter of Delta Mu Delta (DMD) on April 24, 2003 at the Annual School of Business Banquet.
Delta Mu Delta is a National Honor Society of business students with Junior standing and a 3.25 GPA and the graduate student with 16 hours and in the top 20 percent of their class. DMD was established at New York University in 1913 to recognize and reward superior scholastic achievement by the students of Business. The society has local chapters throughout the United States with over 60,000 members. The SNU Gamma Sigma chapter was established in 1979 and has over 400 members.
According to the DMD advisor, Cindy Powell, “Delta Mu Delta membership is a tremendous honor with great significance. The membership is recognized nationwide and is something that students can be justifiably proud of when seeking employment or a continuation of their education.”
“These inductees represent the finest of academic strength and quality of character” according to Dr. Larry Mills, Chair of the School of Business.
