SNU Senior Music Student to attend Summer Institute in Austria

The prestigious University of Miami Frost School of Music Salzburg Summer Institute in Salzburg, Austria has chosen Southern Nazarene University (SNU) Sr. Music Performance Major Lindsey Rollins to participate in their summer program this year.
“It is a great honor to be accepted into this program and we are thrilled for Lindsey,” said Rebekah Ambrosini, Assistant Professor of Voice at Southern Nazarene University.
“Lindsey is a very charming, kind and extremely talented young woman who has been a fantastic asset to the SNU School of Music.”

Rollins, one of 44 chosen classical singers from across the United States, Canada and Europe will spend the summer attending concerts and lectures in opera, music history and art history offered by Salzburg College. She will study voice and German, focusing on techniques and absorbing everything Salzburg has to offer including master classes with world famous musicians from the Salzburg Festival.

“I am so excited to be singing in the European arena. There is so much history there. One part of the summer program is to study German, which is enhanced by living with an Austrian family while I’m there. I am excited about this opportunity. It will be such a great crash course in the culture. My greatest hope is that I come away from the program a wiser musician and person,” said Rollins.

The Miami Frost School of Music at Salzburg is a non-profit organization. The school has a scholarship program set-up for contributions with a tax write off for donations made to a students scholarship fund. If you would like to contribute to Lindsey’s endeavor, mail a check made out to the University of Miami Frost School at Salzburg, P.O. Box 248165 Coral Gables, FL 33124.
