SNU Students Place at State Forensics Tournament
Two SNU students, Jessica Collins and Megan Cole, participated in the OKIE State Forensics Tournament held on the University of Oklahoma campus the last weekend in
February. SNU was one of seven colleges and universities from around the state that entered students in debate and individual events competitions during the two-day tournament.
Collins placed fifth in the Prose and sixth in the Poetry competitions. Cole placed fifth in the extemporaneous speaking competition. Collins is a junior International
Studies major from Killeen, Texas, and Cole is a freshman English major from Marlow, Oklahoma. Both young women competed in forensics throughout high school. The OKIE
tournament was their first collegiate competition. Dr. Pam Broyles served as the SNU coach and judged four rounds of the tournament competitions.
