SNU Symphonic Band Presents Spring Concert

The SNU Symphonic Band will perform its spring concert 7:30pm, Thursday, May 2 in Herrick Auditorium.

“I really enjoy playing in the Symphonic Band. This semester we have a variety of music from different eras, styles and sounds. If you enjoy the sound of a symphonic band, I’m sure this concert will offer something for everyone,” said band member Tracy Crouch.

The concert will feature music from American, French and British composers, including “Second Suite in F” by Gustav Holst, “Symphony for Band” by Vincent Persichetti, and “Concertino for Flute” by Cecile Chaminade. LeeAnn Agee, flute, and Rustin Horner, trombone, are the featured soloists.

Admission is free. For more information, contact the SNU School of Music at 405.491.6345 or email rspear@snu.edu.
