SNU Welcomes Future Freshman Class of 2014

Office of Admissions hosts 2nd Annual Celebration

This Tuesday the 10th, the Office of Admissions will be hosting the Jernigan School for Children 5th Grade class on campus as the future freshman class of 2014.

"Our goal," said Director of Recruitment Todd Brant, "is to celebrate the 5th graders at the SNU School For Children as they move on to another stage of their life. My hope is that these students will see Southern Nazarene University in 7 years as a place they can call home."

The celebration is in its 2nd annual year under the direction of the Office of Admissions. 16 students from the School for Children's 5th grade class will spend the day eating in the campus dining hall, talking with admissions counselors about their transition into schools off campus, and even throwing a pair of shoes into the Shoe Tree on the campus mall. As a parting gift, each 5th grader will be given their own "Future Freshman Class of 2014" t-shirt.
