SNU Welcomes New Admissions Director
Southern Nazarene University is delighted to announce the appointment of Warren W. Rogers, III to the position of Director of Admissions. Warren comes to SNU with nine years of experience in college recruitment, most recently as Director of Recruitment for Olivet Nazarene University, his alma mater, graduating there in 1998 with a degree in Speech Communications. While a student there he was heavily involved with Christian radio broadcast and interned with a Chicago station doing post-game coverage of the Chicago Bulls basketball team. He is currently involved in graduate studies, pursuing a Master of Arts in Religion at ONU.
Warren’s passion for Christian higher education and the Church of the Nazarene is evident when you speak with him. During the recent meeting of the SNU Board of Trustees, Rogers related that, “Our vision for Southern Nazarene University’s enrollment is that we would grow both qualitatively and quantitatively. We are denominational in emphasis and ecumenical in outreach. We believe that the SNU educational experience we offer is available to everyone. However, we want to make sure that Nazarene students on our educational region know that they are our first priority. So we will work hard to recruit those Nazarene students with the help of the local church, and we will educate their parents not only on the value of Southern Nazarene University’s academic rigor, but, more importantly, on SNU’s commitment to the transformational work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of our students.”
Warren’s love of the Lord is clear and contagious. He is a popular speaker and gifted presenter, and as he makes his way around the Region in the coming months and years, his influence and impact on our young people will strengthen the partnership between the local church and SNU. He and his wife, Jeena, have two daughters, Maya and Ava, and a son, Warren IV. I know you will join us in welcoming Warren and his family to the South Central Region.
