BETHANY, OK - Southern Nazarene University welcomes two new faculty members joining SNU for the spring semester of the 2005-2006 academic year;
Dr. Dennis Siegfried and Professor Donna Hill.
Dennis Siegfried joins the Biology Department as Assistant Professor of Biology. He
is currently teaching Ornithology class and a Botany class. In the fall of 2006 he will be teaching Ecology. Dr. Siegfried states that his main area of interest is Ornithology and Ecology. Siegfried received a B.A. degree at Malone College, 1994; M.Ed., Ashland University, 2000; and a Ph.D., University of Oklahoma in 2006. Dennis and his wife
Mei`Ling have a four year old son named Corey.
Donna Hill joins the School of Nursing as Assistant Professor of Nursing. She teaches Gerontology, Mental Health and Trends & Issues in Nursing. Hill received a BSN, MS
(Psychiatric Clinical Nursing) degree from the University of Oklahoma. Hill has worked as a Clinical Research Nurse at the University of Vermont Medical Center, Burlington, Vermont; Psychiatric Nurse at Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, in Norman, Oklahoma. She has been an Instructor of the Nursing Department at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Coordinator/
Director at the Bethany Pavilion, Nurse Investigator, Oklahoma Board of Nursing, OKC, OK, Assistant Director of Nursing at the Oklahoma Youth Center in Norman, OK, and most recently, Director of Nursing, Griffin Memorial Hospital, Norman, OK. Donna has one daughter, Jean Marie, who is a freshman at SNU.
