SNU grad to work with Latin American Studies Program
SNU graduate Sean Jones has been selected for an internship with the Latin American Studies Program (LASP) for the 08-09 academic term. LASP is a program of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. The Costa Rica based program introduces students to a wide range of experiences through the study of the language, literature, culture, politics, history, economics, ecology and religion of Latin America.
Sean will serve as an assistant to LASP Director, Anthony Chamberlain, and other LASP personnel. Among other activities, Sean will assist with seminars, reflection sessions, translation and fieldtrips and will take at least one international trip with LASP students.
Anthony Chamberlain said that LASP received applications for the internship from many excellent candidates and Sean was one of only two who were selected. Sean, who was a student in LASP during the fall 2006 semester, graduated from SNU in 2007 with a B.A. in Spanish.
