SNU to Host Work & Witness Event
People are asking questions about the short-term mission program called Work and Witness. On September 14th & 15th, Southern Nazarene University (SNU) will host a conference at the Clarion Meridian Hotel and Conference Center located in Oklahoma City at 737 S. Meridian Avenue.
7,000 Nazarenes each year give of their time and money in short-term mission trips. They labor in love while working construction, aiding in health care, evangelism, education and agriculture.
“Long-time missionaries will be there. Veteran participants of 24 and more trips like Cantley George will be there. There will be displays from mission fields wanting teams, travel agencies, Compassionate Ministry centers in the U.S. and other mission trip support agencies and businesses,” said Dr. Howard Culbertson, Professor of Missions.
The registration fee is $30.00 prior to September 1st. After September 1st, the price is $35.00. This price includes conference registration and dinner Friday night. Participants are responsible for their own housing arrangements.
Clarion Hotel offers rooms for a reduced rate of $69.00. This event will be held in conjunction with the South Central Regional NMI Conference. Other hotel options and prices are provided on the Work & Witness home page at snu.edu/WrkWtnss.
