SNU's Carol Wight receives "The Journal Record" OKC's Best Dressed Award
Carol Wight, Director of Communications & Marketing for Southern Nazarene University, has been recognized as one of this year’s Journal Record’s Oklahoma City’s Best Dressed.
A reception for the honorees took place at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art on Thursday, January 11, 2007.
Forty individuals were selected for “The Journal Record’s” third annual Best Dressed list. The reception included a silent auction with proceeds benefiting the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.
“Carol Wight has an outfit for everything she loves to do: golf; swing dance; tennis; growing summer tomatoes; attending concerts and writing. She got her best fashion advice from her mom: “Everything should match and fit properly” said Jennifer James McCollum, Public Information Manager, City of Oklahoma City Utilities, who nominated Carol for the award.
More than 100 nominations were received from “The Journal Record” readers. Readers were asked to submit names of individuals who carried a polished and well-dressed look. Event sponsors were Grand Dental Studio and Spencer Stone Co.
Carol gets much of her polished look and classic pieces from “Georgiou”. However she proves that it takes more than the right wardrobe pieces to have style. “Carol is an accomplished woman with great academic credentials and tremendous Public Relations brilliance. She maintains a modern fashion edge, a bit of indicative of her tech savvy – while remaining true to the old-world values of the institution she serves”; said McCollum.
A complete list of the 40 individuals named to “The Journal Record’s 2006 Best Dressed List” can be found on “The Journal Record’s Best Dressed honorees announced” article released by “The Journal Record” on 11.27.06.
